Abstract The emerging importance of media worldwide along with increasing obstacles for female journalists/reporters is one of the main challenges in our sciciet y. The study aims to provide insight into broadcast media happenings, especially about NEWS channels abnut problems faced by female journalists in Pakistan. Also, their perception and experiences about practicing such a difficult task where people do not accept this profession suitable for females. This stud y is qualitative research in nature followed by an in-depth interview technique. The data has taken from five (5) female journalists located in different cities of Pakistan. Besides, the data of news reporting segments assigned to females from ten ( 10) different news channels of Pakistan were taken to anal yze the beats assignment. The content analysis technique has been used to infer the results which depicted the exact picture of practicing journalism by females in our societ y, but fortunately, the conditions are not as vulnerable as they were expected. In the end, suggestions containing opinions from respondents and general analysis hav’e been incorporated to further improve the situations and encourage female representatives. This study may also be extended by adding beats from different niche and increasing the number of respondents to enhance the results.
