Abstract This study explores the profound changes artificial intelligence (AI) brings to the film industry's scriptwriting realm. This focuses on the role of AI in storytelling in recent years. It starts by mapping the historical progression of technological advancements in scriptwriting, highlighting the increasingly significant role of AI in crafting narratives. This paper conducts an in-depth content analysis of various AI technologies currently influencing scriptwriting, drawing on case studies to demonstrate AI's notable impact. It also explores the ethical and creative ramifications of AI-driven storytelling, illuminating how AI alters the conventional function of scriptwriters and potentially transforms the film industry. The paper concludes with a forward-looking perspective, providing insightful projections about the future direction of storytelling in the era of digital innovation.
