Abstract The present Study investigates how media representations and cultural barriers impact women's empowerment in Pakistan With a focus on the possibilities and challenges that women face in a multicultural society. The liberation of women has always been hampered by Pakistani cultural customs. However, by drawing attention to the problem and highlighting strong, independent women in Pakistani Dramas and entertainment programs, the media—particularly electronic media—has played a critical role in dismantling these obstacles. Researcher analyzed two mainstream Pakistani Dramas in order to find-out the Influence of Cultural Barriers and Media Representation on Women's Empowerment. Given that women comprise half of the population and are vital to a country's growth, the research emphasizes how important it is that they have more authority. Positive media depiction encourages women's empowerment, according to survey data and an examination of a few shows.
